Water Reducing, High Range and Retarding Admixtures
MNC-HHJ
Description
MNC-HHJ is a water reducing, high range and retarding admixture which delays concrete setting time. It not only plasticizes significantly but also has little or no effect on the water demand or other properties of concrete. It complies with ASTM C 494 Type G.
Application
- MNC-HHJ retards the initial and final set of concrete. It extends the initial setting time of portland cement concrete by 2 to 3 hours at 21 ℃. MNC-HHJ is used wherever a delay is needed in setting time to insure sufficient delivery, placement, vibration or compaction time.
- Not suitable for working condition under 5℃.
- Not suitable for being solely applied in the concrete that requires early strength and steam curing.
- Not suitable for being solely used in the lean concrete.
- Test before applied in anhydrite, dross or similar industrial waste cement.
Advantages
- Delays the setting time of concrete
- Prevents the formation of cold joints
- Increases initial workability
- Increases ultimate strength
- Produces economies in mix designs
- Provides workability retention to the concrete

hDosage
For normal usages the dosage rate varies from 1.0% to 1.2% of the cement consumption.
